Hope you are all doing well. :) I am taking a break from college life after finishing my last summer class. I am sorry I missed last Thursday I was helping someone move and studying for my final test for class, but I am back in full swing with my blogging schedule and commenting.

So for my break I have gone home, to my childhood home where my parents still live. And as I am watching a movie they said Thomas Wolff said "You can't go home again." But as I am home, I have been thinking about that and I believe that it is both true and false. Yes, their are some people who cant go home due to fire or flood or other disaster, but for the most part in one way or another we can all physically return home. If possible I highly recommend it. It's rather nice to be home and basically go back in time. Plus family time is always nice. For me since I went to college and now have an apartment I haven't been coming home too often. So this is very nice for me.
At the same time, you really can't go home. Even if your at your childhood home, everything is different. Your older, so is your family. So things will be different. You will be treated differently and just in general it will not be the same as it was when you were younger. And home is where the heart is so just because you at your childhood home you may not be where you consider home now. For me I say I have 2 homes, my apartment and my parents home. When I actually get a house I may very well stop calling my parents house home.
What about for you? Where do you call home?
As of August 3rd, my blog is one! Whoo! Right now my blog is not super popular and I don't bring in many comments but I appreciate those of you that have been here since the beginning. I don't really have anything special planned to do for this occasion so I am sorry. But I do have a request.
I would like you lovely people to let me know what I can do better. What would you like me to write about? what would make my blog better?
I'm off to copy family recipes and write! Have a wonderful day dears!

Haha your blog is one...funny. :) Mine is probably a few years old ...but mine is nothing special obviously.
I call my house home but mom and dad's house will always be somewhat of a home. Like you said its my childhood home but my houseis now my home home. I always like going back there though.

Visiting where you have happy memories is wonderful as long as you realize everyone and everything, including you, has changed. Turning back the clock of life is what you can't do.

I have my own house, haev for going on four yers, and i still occasionally call my parent's house, home. I'm betting it will change once they move.
Though, i do think, that the older i get, the less it feels like home
